The Harlayne Apricot is a cold-hardy and reliable apricot variety, highly valued for its excellent fruit quality and strong resistance to spring frost. It is well suited to the Irish climate when planted in a sunny and sheltered location.
This variety produces medium to large golden-orange apricots with sweet, rich and aromatic flavour. The flesh is juicy, tender and perfect for fresh eating, desserts, preserves and home orchards.
Harlayne flowers later than many traditional apricot varieties, helping reduce frost risk and improving fruit reliability in cooler climates such as Ireland.
